COVID-19 Information

Effective September 12, 2022:

Announcing our CDC COVID-19 protocol system that reflects a Gallatin County community level transmission focus.

Masks are currently optional in our clinics and we adjust our mask policy based on CDC community transmission status level for Gallatin County. Your physical therapist or massage therapist will wear a mask based on your preference. Let us know at check-in.

We still request if you are sick or have been exposed to COVID-19 to postpone your in-clinic visit with us until symptoms have subsided and to follow your healthcare provider’s recommendations. Telehealth PT visits are always available for you. We sanitize all day, every day, & everything. And our Bozeman clinic has a needlepoint bipolar ionization air purifier system installed building wide.

Please call with any questions.

Excel Physical Therapy’s Bozeman and Manhattan clinic COVID-19 ongoing precautions:

  • If a Gallatin County community transmission level is in a red status per CDC and local Health Department guidelines, our office requests all patients–and anyone entering our clinics–wear a mask (please no scarves, buffs, or bandanas)–regardless of vaccination status. We are happy to provide you with a mask.
  • We are happy to schedule a live video telehealth physical therapy appointment with you if you are ill and/or can’t wear a mask.

  • If you are hard of hearing, deaf and read lips, please notify us at check-in so we can accommodate you. We have transparent face masks our staff members can wear to help you with lip reading.

  • Do not enter our clinic with ANY illness type symptoms or COVID-19 symptoms: fever, cough, difficulty breathing, flu-like symptoms like chills, fatigue. Please call us to reschedule if you are not feeling well. We can easily schedule a telehealth session for you so you can continue your physical therapy treatment plan.

  • We are happy to see you for in-clinic appointments when your illness symptoms have fully resolved, and you are not taking any fever-reducing medication.

  • Please do not come to your in-clinic appointment until you have received health provider clearance if you have experienced COVID-19 virus exposure in any or possible following ways (we are happy to do a live video telehealth appointment in the meantime):

    • Diagnosed with COVID-19 that has not been classified as “recovered”

    • Close contact with an individual confirmed to have COVID-19 by lab testing or with a presumptive diagnosis of COVID-19.

    • Living in a house with anyone having symptoms consistent with COVID-19

  • We are disinfecting patient, therapist and staff contact surfaces vigilantly and after each patient interaction. We have a dedicated team member who is disinfecting the clinic and equipment.

  • We ask our screening questions when scheduling appointments on the phone and as soon as you arrive for your in-clinic appointment.

  • The waiting rooms are for patients only. Family and friend of patients are asked to not attend in-clinic appointments (unless the patient is a minor, then only one parent/guardian please).

  • We are having our patients and therapists wash their hands thoroughly before and after each visit.

  • We have staggered patient appointments for social distancing.

  • We encourage all of our staff to receive COVID-19 vaccinations.

Thank you for your understanding, patience and willingness to help protect our patients, staff and community.
