Doctor of Physical Therapy / Certified Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapist / Orthopedic Clinical Specialists

Daniel Schiedermayer , DPT, COMT, OCS completed his Doctorate of Physical Therapy at the University of Wisconsin in Madison, where he also received his Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology. During his clinical experiences as a doctoral student, he was exposed to a wide variety of surgical and non-surgical conditions, including mentorship in the management of spinal conditions. He had the opportunity to work in UW Health System’s specialty Pain Clinic, where he was able to work with those who suffered from more chronic conditions. Dan earned his certification in orthopedic manual therapy (COMT) from NAIOMT (North American Institute of Orthopedic Manual Therapy) in 2023.

Dan is confident in treating a wide variety of orthopedic diagnoses throughout the whole body, with a special passion for the hands-on treatment of neck pain, TMD, low back pain, and headaches, in addition to treating patients who may have more persistent pain. He enjoys being active in the gym and leads with a fitness-forward mindset, serving as an advocate for helping others achieve personal, meaningful goals as they relate to their own livelihood and activities.

As a proud Badger, Dan devoted much of his free time volunteering in the community and serving as a coordinator for the UW-Madison Interdisciplinary Pro Bono Clinic – helping those in need access necessary care and helping fellow students grow in their skills and confidence. He strives to be a collaborator in all he does, seeking to provide patient-centered and evidence-based care to his patients and the greater community.

When not working out or treating patients, Dan enjoys playing guitar, singing choir, and exploring the outdoors – be it on a canoe, in hiking boots, or hanging around a campfire – with his wife, kids, and dog Wendell Berry.
