Lisa Palomaki, DPT completed her Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City, UT. While at school, Lisa served on the board for the Student Run Pro Bono Physical Therapy Clinic, where she helped underserved populations in the Salt Lake valley find access to high quality physical therapy treatment. She also worked as a research assistant and exercise coach during her undergraduate and doctorate programs implementing exercise plans for patients with diabetic peripheral neuropathy.
During her education, Lisa completed four clinical rotations where she was exposed to a variety of orthopedic and neurological conditions. This has led her to an interest in vestibular rehabilitation in addition to treating both surgical and non-surgical orthopedic conditions. Lisa’s treatment philosophy is to help her patients improve their overall quality of life and increase their self-efficacy through exercise and evidence-based treatment.
Lisa brings a natural curiosity and tendency to go the extra mile for her patients and customizes treatment needs for her patient’s individual needs. She brings positive energy to the Excel PT team as a key team player. Her familiarity with current research and treatment techniques as a recent graduate of the University of Utah helps her to make well-informed choices when treating her clients. Lisa is committed to developing her clinical knowledge through advanced continuing education courses with the Excel PT team. Lisa loves any activity that will get her out in the mountains including mountain biking, climbing, Nordic/backcountry skiing, and trail running.
