Orthopedic Residency
At Excel Physical Therapy we take pride in our PT team and want to give them every opportunity to advance their learning beyond graduate school. For this reason, we have partnered with The Jackson Clinics to create an opportunity for Orthopedic Residency within our clinic.
The Jackson Clinics was one of the first Orthopedic Physical Therapy residencies to be nationally recognized and accredited in 2009. Some information regarding the residency program:
Success:
· Set yourself apart: less than 1% of all DPTs complete a Residency program.
· Our residency graduates have a 98.5% first-time pass rate on the OCS.
· Our program boasts a 100% satisfaction rate, as well as a 96% graduation rate.
· Residency participants receive extensive 1-on-1 mentoring from our team of faculty members.
General Overview:
· Hybrid/Blended residency where didactic information is performed online, mentorship performed here in Bozeman, and lab skills/tests performed at The Jackson Clinics in Virginia 1-2x/year
· No out-of-pocket costs for the resident to participate
· The program begins each January and runs for approximately 15 months.
· The Orthopedic Board Certification exam is taken in March at the end of the program.
· 1865 hours of clinical practice in an orthopedic outpatient clinical environment.
· 150 hours of one-on-one mentoring while treating patients.
· Over 170 hours of a unique blended-model virtual didactic modules and live lab instruction.
· Grand Rounds in collaboration with colleagues centered around a variety of topics.
