As the founding owner of Excel Physical Therapy, David strives for our clinics to deliver unprecedented excellence with patient care in the Gallatin Valley. David established Excel in 2001 on the principles of specialization, advanced education and customer service.
David specializes in the treatment of back and neck pain, spinal issues, headaches, whiplash, TMD/jaw pain, breathing dysfunction,
and postural dysfunction. David received his masters in physical therapy from Mount St. Mary’s College in Los Angeles, California. David is a regional physical therapist specialist in the evaluation and treatment of TMD and has received training over the years from authorities in this discipline, including Mariano Rocabado and Michael Karengeannes. A considerable amount of David’s advanced training occurred through the North American Institute of Orthopedic Manual Therapy (NAIOMT). He has completed both a certification in orthopedic manual physical therapy (COMT) and a fellowship in orthopedic manual physical therapy with NAIOMT, which culminated in his status as a fellow
of the American Academy of Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapists (FAAOMPT). David is currently a registered fellowship mentor with NAIOMT. He is a Certified BikeFit Pro Fitter and supports the US Paralympic Nordic Ski Team on the snow in their pursuit of winning gold at world cup events and the winter Paralympics. David enjoys finding long-term solutions for his patients – solutions that involve a fine-tuned combination of manual manipulative therapy, re-education in posture and breathing, and a targeted exercise program that addresses even the most difficult patient presentations.
David enjoys spending time with wife, traveling, cooking, fly fishing, biking, all things endurance training, and he is a competitive cross-country skier.
